2. Job Purpose

Responsible for operating the PV Plant, following instructions from Electrical Engineers, Site/Plant Managers, or Grid Operators. Tasks include registering plant operations in the Operation Book, assisting in report writing, controlling work orders, monitoring cleaning activities, maintaining plant status records, emergency response, and analyzing performance and operational issues to develop effective solutions.

4. Key Accountabilities

Operation and Maintenance

  • Follow instructions of the Site Manager/Plant Manager.
  • Register operational changes and relevant aspects in the Operation Book.
  • Record breakdowns and communicate to plant managers.
  • Assist in preparing operational and maintenance reports.
  • Maintain records of plant O&M activities and status control checklists.
  • Register energy and power production records.
  • Report SCADA or communication deficiencies.
  • Follow Grid Operator instructions and ensure efficient communication.
  • Maximize generation, PR, and availability; analyze performance shortfalls.
  • Participate in training courses and obtain relevant certifications.
  • Operate MV equipment after training and certification.
  • Supervise plant operation through SCADA, including control and protection devices.
  • Assist in daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual report preparation.
  • Troubleshoot sensors, relays, and SCADA-connected devices.
  • Monitor plant equipment performance and report abnormalities.
  • Support colleagues in operational tasks.
  • Maintain professional communication with EETC and Project Company.
  • Receive and notify emergency calls per procedures.
  • Follow cyber security and change management procedures.
  • Interpret daily analytics and create defect notifications in SAP for maintenance teams.
  • Participate in and lead daily production meetings to highlight operational issues.
  • Liaise with Electrical Engineer to optimize generation and ensure safe operations.
  • Track cleanliness factor with Solar Field Engineer.

  • Adhere to all relevant HSSE procedures, instructions, and controls to ensure employee safety and environmental compliance.

6. Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Electrical or Automation Technician.
  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering with focus on renewable energy.

Minimum Experience:

  • 1–3 years in O&M in the related field.

Skills:

  • Awareness of Occupational Health & Safety standards.
  • PV inverter maintenance experience.
  • Operation of high voltage equipment.
  • Operation and maintenance of PV plants.
  • Proficient English writing and speaking skills.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Teamwork and effective collaboration skills.
