2. Job Purpose

Responsible for managing and maintaining all store activities for the solar power plant, including receipt, storage, and issuance of materials, spare parts, consumables, and tools. Ensures accurate record keeping, compliance with company procedures, and effective support for procurement processes (PR/PO). Supports document control, reporting, inventory tracking, audits, and vendor coordination.

4. Key Accountabilities

Store & Inventory Management

  • Receive, inspect, and store incoming materials, equipment, PPE, and spare parts in compliance with procedures.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels and update inventory records in SAP/ERP systems.
  • Issue materials, PPE, and consumables against approved requests with proper documentation.
  • Conduct regular physical verification and reconciliation of stock.
  • Ensure proper labelling, binning, and preservation of materials.
  • Maintain minimum/maximum stock levels and notify management for replenishment.

Procurement & Documentation

  • Raise and track PRs/POs as per project requirements.
  • Follow procurement procedures including vendor verification, comparative statements, and approvals.
  • Ensure PPE procurement aligns with HSE guidelines and standards.
  • Prepare Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), issue slips, and maintain procurement records.
  • Support procurement team by providing updated stock reports and consumption trends.
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual inventory & procurement reports.
  • Perform document control duties for O&M files, ensuring proper filing, retrieval, and record retention.

PPE & Safety Materials Management

  • Ensure adequate availability and timely issuance of PPE (helmets, gloves, harnesses, safety shoes, goggles, etc.) to staff and contractors.
  • Track PPE usage, life cycle, and replacement requirements.
  • Ensure PPE storage and handling comply with HSE standards.
  • Maintain PPE issuance records linked to employee/contractor ID.
  • Adhere to all relevant HSSE procedures and controls.
  • Promote safe material handling practices in the warehouse.

5. Communication & Working Relationships

Internal: O&M, Maintenance, Procurement, Finance, and HSE teams.

External: Vendors, suppliers, and contractors for material delivery, verification, and documentation.

6. Qualifications, Experience & Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in solar plant store management.
  • Hands-on experience in PR/PO processes, PPE management, and ERP systems.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of store operations, PPE issuance, and procurement procedures.
  • Proficiency in SAP / ERP / MS Office.
  • Good knowledge of PR/PO cycle, vendor coordination, and procurement compliance.
  • English (written and spoken) communication skills.
  • Awareness of HSSE policies and PPE standards.
  • Excellent organizational and document control skills.
  • Ability to work in a team and coordinate with multiple departments.
